5 Places I Would Love to Visit

This is my 1st IndiSpire post and this is such a fun topic to write on. So here goes…
“To read is to travel without moving an inch.” Ever since I heard this line in Mira Nair’s Namesake, its stuck in my mind.
I am a traveller and also a dreamer traveller. I can spend hours pouring over travel blogs and magazines. Who wouldn’t love to see every inch of this planet… but that’s practically impossible. I enjoy seeing the world through the eyes of fellow travelers. I also love to dream of places distant and near. Here are 5 places I dream of visiting in my lifetime.
1. Costa Rica

Misty rain forests, active volcanoes, pristine beaches… Costa Rica has me from the word go! I am a big ‘being in the outdoors with nature’ person, and would love to visit this little Central American country. As Lonely Planet says, ‘Costa Rica is sometimes referred to as the Switzerland of Central America because of its comfortable lifestyle, peaceful democracy and overwhelming natural beauty’.

2. Norway – to witness the Northern Lights

To me the spectacle of the Northern Lights is nothing short of magic, and one that I would love to witness.

3. Bhutan

How lovely it would be to visit a country where happiness is all pervasive and where it is the most important factor, even more than the Gross Domestic Product! Sustainable tourism is an everyday practice in Bhutan and by law, 60 per cent of the country has to remain forests for the benefit of future generations. Clear skies, soaring snow clad peaks, verdant valleys and stunning monasteries come to mind when I think of Bhutan.

4. Japan

From the way people look to what they eat and how they live, everything about Japan is unique. One of the best things about travel, is how it opens your mind and broadens your horizons. For me Japan brings to mind a fantastic sensory experience. I can’t get enough of the beautiful images of the spectacular cherry blossoms and changing seasons.

5. Jamaica

The name itself has a fun ring to it! I would love to visit this island country just to soak in its relaxed atmosphere, watch a game of cricket and bask in its sunshine.

Here’s my pick… where do you want to dream travel too?

Except for northern lights, we haven't seen any of the places on your list! So, yes, we want to go everywhere, someday!
